When the setup of a message is configured for parallelmode it would be nice to ignore that setup during testing and tracing

Can you elaborate on the tracing part? Are you referring to testing on a staging environment or tracing on e.g. a production instance?

I would never test parallel mode in a production environment because if it fails you need a lot of time to rollback ;-)
